Whole Foods
Market Chalk
During my time as a store graphic artist at Whole Foods Market in Orlando, I created weekly chalk illustrations to support in-store promotions, seasonal events, and product launches. Each piece was designed and hand-lettered to feel intentional, on-brand, and inviting for customers moving through the store.
The work gave me a hands-on way to explore typography, composition, and illustration under real deadlines, while still leaving room for personality and exploration. It was a really fun intersection of design, craft, and community, finding ways to make everyday shopping feel a little more human.

My Role
The Process
Most of the chalkboards started digitally. I’d design the layout in Adobe Illustrator to work out the composition and lettering, then print it to scale and transfer the design onto the board using transfer paper. From there, everything was finished by hand using chalk and my favorite Posca paint markers. Working this way helped me stay consistent from week to week while still keeping the work loose and handmade. I was also named Artist of the Month in October for this work.
